So
what does hypnosis and musical group that calls itself the Big Butt Band
have in common? More that you might initially think. Lots more.
The Big Butt Band stand out among other musical
groups not only because they use their rears as band instruments, but
because they're hypnotized.
Really. How else would six willing participants from
the audience get onstage and make complete "jackasses" of
themselves?
The instigator of it all? Justin Tranz
What started off as a childhood whim for Tranz has bosomed
into a talent he's constantly expanding. The result is "HypNosis,"
one of the funniest and most hypnotic shows on the Strip.
"I read every book that was ever published on
hypnosis. I wanted to know everything that was possible to learn,"
Tranz says.
Enough so that after earning a degree in psychology,
Tranz traveled to schools, seminars, and conventions all over the
country to learn the various forms of hypnotherapy. Today he holds more
than two dozen certifications in the field.
Tranz's uncensored shows place a strange hold on the
audience that no one can escape. In seconds, willing participants from
the audience are placed into a highly suggestible state of mind
(hypnosis), put into comical situations and sent on exciting adventures.

Hypnotist Casts A Compelling
Spell

When he is onstage, Justin Tranz looks more like a movie star than a
hypno-therapist who also holds a degree in psychology. His snappy
suits and trendy look are a part of his "hip-nosis" persona,
which has earned him a lot of attention, both locally and nationally.
Tranz's show at Flamingo O'Sheas (on Fridays and
Saturdays he performs special midnight shows in Bugsy's Celebrity
Theatre at the Flamingo Las Vegas) has become one of the newest hotspots
in town. He packs 'em into intimate cabaret, which is tucked away
upstairs at the small, Irish-themed casino. They come from all over the
world, eager to witness hypnosis; some of them can't wait to experience
it under Tranz's expert spell.
The audience is the show and Tranz is the
facilitator. He is careful to explain what hypnosis is and how each
person in the audience can, if they wish, experience the deep relaxation
that the state creates. Many people in the audience listen to Tranz's
induction and follow the suggestions he offers. If they enter the state
of hypnosis, they may, if they choose, become part of the show.
Don't miss the wacky things that people do when they
are hypnotized in Tranz's fast-moving, entertaining show. You'll also
learn about the benefits of hypnosis thanks to Tranz's 20 years of
experience.

Tranz Goes on Date
|
What do you
get when you cross the outrageous television show, "Blind
Date," with the outrageous hypnotic talents of Justin Tranz?
One heck of a date, that's for sure. And you can see the results for
yourself, Feb 5, when Tranz appears on "Blind Date, "broadcast
on the Fox network.
Tranz has taken Vegas by storm with his mix of
hypnotism and comedy. His popular show, "HIP-NOSIS," is unlike
any other on the Strip. Tranz goes to the outer limits of adult comedy
to give audiences a taste of how funny hypnotism can be. He's so good,
he performs in two showrooms.
What started off as a childhood whim for Tranz has
blossomed into a talent he's constantly expanded upon.
"I read every book that was ever published on
hypnosis. I wanted to know everything that was possible to learn,"
says Tranz.
Enough so that after earning a degree in psychology,
Tranz traveled to schools, seminars and conventions all over the country
to learn the various forms of hypnotherapy, eventually gathering more
than two dozen certifications in the field.
Tranz has appeared on the "Tonight Show"
with Jay Leno, while his past credits include working with celebrities
from "American Gladiators" on their confidence, focus and
concentration, and on the film Karate Kid to help the actors memorize
their lines.
So what place does a comedy hypnotist have on a
television show that matches up two unlikely people for a day-long date
with usually shocking results? Who knows? When you consider the
possibilities of having the ability to hypnotize your date, the outcome
can lead to some interesting results.
And that's sort of like each of Tranz's shows - anything
can happen.
Incorporating audience members into the act guarantees
that each show is different from the next. And being an R-rated show,
there's no telling where the content could lead.
Tranz is quick to point out the difference between
his technique and that of a traditional hypnotist.
"When I make hypnotic suggestions, people are
not in a a semiconscious trance. They are totally aware that they are
following my direction but they aren't able to resist.
"There has never been a famous hypnotist in Las
Vegas," says Tranz. "I think Las Vegas is ready for a major
hypnotic show."
Hopefully, "Blind Date" is too.

Incites Audiences

So what does hypnosis and a musical group that calls itself the Big Butt
Band have in common? More than you might initially think, Lots more.
The Big Butt Band stands out among other musical

Justin Tranz Puts
A Spell On A Boxer
|
Comedian
hypnotist Justin Tranz recently took some time away from his
show, "HIP-NOSIS," to take care of some serious
business. He hypnotized boxer Talmadge "Two Guns"
Griffis at the Hard Rock Hotel before a recent bout. The result?
Griffis won by TKO in 90 seconds.
"It worked because in Talmadge's
case it allowed him to relax his mind enough to focus on his
opponent and therefore he optimized his skill level with the
confidence that was induced." Tranz says.
And there you have it. Tranz is that
good. He's even worked with celebrities from "American
Gladiators" on their confidence, focus and concentration,
and on the film Karate Kid to help the actors memorize their
lines. Tranz may not practice hypnotism professionally as often
nowadays, but his skill is still present in his shows at
Flamingo O'Sheas and Flamingo Las Vegas. Tranz turns hypnotism
into a lighthearted and entertaining subject.
"Las Vegas is ready for a major
hypnotic show. There has never been a golden age of hypnotism,
"Tranz says.
If there's anyone who can make hypnotism
popular , it's Tranz. He certainly has the experience, holding a
degree in psychology before working as a hypno-therapist. "I
saw a hypnotist perform at age 11 and I thought that if I
learned hypnosis I could control my parents. I went to the store
and get a book on hypnosis. I tried it out on my friends and
became more and more successful," Tranz recalls.
"HIP-NOSIS" is a show unlike
any other on the Strip. It could possibly be the most
outrageously funny show in Vegas. Tranz goes to the outer limits
of adult comedy to give audiences a taste to how funny hypnotism
can be. Tranz has managed to make hypnosis "hip." He's
so good, he performs in two showrooms.
Taking the typical stage hypnosis show
into another dimension, Tranz mixes bits and pieces of of
Harry Houdini and Penn & Teller as he debunks and spoofs
paranormal phenomena, such as faith healing and voodoo. Tranz's
show is truly one of a kind. Incorporating audience members into
the act guarantees that each show is different from the next.
And being an R-rated show, there's no telling where the content
could lead.
Witness Tranz's incredible "Power
of Suggestion" for yourself. It's like nothing you've seen
before.
