I was recently interviewed on yourmoneyshow.com. Not only did we discuss how I got into hypnosis and how I got to headline in Vegas, I hypnotized the producer of the show over the phone.

The last time I was interviewed on Yourmoneyshow.com, I hypnotized High Pitch Eric, from the Howard Stern Show. I also hypnotized a yourmoneyshow.com listener. We had a great time hanging out before the show and hypnotizing those guys was great.

However this time, it was much more serious. The show’s producer, Dr. Lego has serious back problems. He claimed that he could not be hypnotized nor did he think that hypnosis could take the pain away. I explained that hypnosis has been used instead of anesthesia during surgeries, dental procedures, and even instead of epidurals during child birthing. As I explained to Dr. Lego, if they can do a surgery with only hypnosis, I could help him reduce the pain in his back.

I didn’t get a chance to go into my thoughts on pain, as we were pressed for time; the show is only an hour. However we all have had cuts and bruises on our hands or another part of the body, that we just don’t remember getting. You look down at your hands and say, “Where did I get that from?” What does that tell you. It says that if you are not focused on your pain or your cut, it does not register in your conscious mind.

Thus over the phone while, on-air, I took Dr. Lego through a session to show him how the power of the mind works. I gave Dr. Lego suggestions to have his eyes stuck and to have a tingle in his jaw. I also showed him how to do self hypnosis and diminish his back pain any time he felt like it. After the brief session Dr Lego said that he felt a tingle in his jaw and his eyes did get stuck.

Tips On Choosing A Stage Hypnosis Training Course

When searching for Stage Hypnosis Training you want an instructor who will tell you how to compete in the big leagues. The big leagues, which are comedy clubs, casinos, cruise ships, and corporate shows are where the big money is.

When looking at a Stage Hypnosis Training course, you want to find a Stage Hypnosis Training Instructor that mainly does these kinds of shows. You want someone who can tell you the ins and outs of these shows.

When looking at a Stage Hypnosis Training course, you should consider how your instructor hypnotizes people! Do they do instant/rapid inductions or just progressive muscle relaxation inductions?

If your Stage Hypnosis Training Instructor does progressive muscle relaxation inductions, these are very boring and take 7 to 15 minutes to complete. Plus they only work on maybe 15% of the population. Think about your audience having to listen to 15 minutes of an induction. Not very entertaining.

If you really want to learn Stage Hypnosis from the best and most qualified, then ask your Stage Hypnosis Training Instructor how many TV appearances have they done.
TV producers do a good job of vetting hypnotists; they only take the best of the best. As for me, I was on The Tonight show, MTV, BET, Fox Sports, Blind Date, Livin’ Large, Spy TV, and had a TV series on Playboy TV for last seven years.

How To Choose Stage Hypnosis Training

When searching for Stage Hypnosis Training all that really matters is the experience of the teacher, such as who taught him. In my case it reads as follows Gil Boyne, Ormond McGill, Pat Collins, Sam Vine, Charles Tebbits, Harry Arons, Steven Lavelle, Ronald Dante, Richard Bandler, Tony Robbins, Jack Loughlin, Harold Wolf, Stanley Mitchell, Teri Hopwood, Joe Scott, Don Mottin, Arnold Furst, John Calvert, Walter Sichort, Dr. Robert Sorge, Robert Dilts, and Dr. Dave Dobson just to name a few!

Next you want to find out how many shows your for Stage Hypnosis Training Instructor has done in their career. As for me that is well over 6000 shows. But don’t ever take our words on anything because most hypnosis instructors lie and or embellish their accomplishments and achievements. So when I tell you I have done well over 6000 shows I should be able to prove that. In my case it is a well-known fact I headlined Vegas in my own show for over a decade, and was the only hypnotist to every perform on Broadway in a legitimate show that ran for over two years. The point I am making is, make us put up or shut up; ask us tough questions.

If you are going to buy Stage Hypnosis Training courses you should want to see actual shows. Don’t be satisfied with just well edited clips. To make sure that you are getting the best Stage Hypnosis Training, be sure to ask for unedited shows from beginning to end. This is how you can make a better and well-educated choice. Stage Hypnosis Training Instructors should be proud to sell you 10 videos and deduct that off of your tuition when you purchase a Stage Hypnosis Training course. Just beware when instructors won’t proudly show you their work.

You should also ask what types of shows does your Stage Hypnosis Trainer do? Does he/she do mainly college, high schools, comedy clubs, casinos, or corporate. If the bulk of the business is college and/or high school shows, then Stage Hypnosis Trainer’s knowledge isn’t very good as you need very little training to do these kinds of shows. Most young people will go along and just do what you say.

Now after saying that, college and high school shows are an excellent source of business and you can make over $100,000 a year doing them. Coldplay recorded while hypnotized

Hypnosis is so popular these days that even rock band Coldplay recorded while hypnotized. Coldplay is just another in a long line of celebrities using hypnosis.

According to the BBC Newsbeat, Coldplay recorded while hypnotized. In the interview with BBC, Bassist Guy Berryman admitted that they were put into a hypnotic trance during recording sessions for their new album Mylo Xyloto. Also according to the BBC interview, the bands producer used hypnosis as he likes to try new things and boost creativity. Read story here.

Coldplay recorded while hypnotized, but stated that it did not have any effect on the music. That’s like saying, “I tried a new restaurant and I didn’t like the food, so I am not eating again.” Hypnosis is only as good as the hypnotist.

So you want to know how to become a hypnotist.

Well you have several options.

• Books: You can learn hypnosis simply by reading books. There are basic ideas and premises that you can learn just by reading. However if you want to how to become a hypnotist, a really good hypnotist, then books are not the answer.

• Articles online: There are plenty of articles online. However most of the are not written by professional hypnotists. They are written by people you are trying to sell you hypnosis courses. Again articles are not the way to go.

• Schools of hypnosis: There are very few schools teaching hypnosis. Unfortunately most of the schools teaching hypnosis are not accredited schools. Moreover the schools give you a certificate after you have completed the training, which are NOT recognized by any local, state, or federal authority.

• Live seminars: If you really want to know how to become a hypnotist, the best way is to attend a live seminar. At a live seminar you get the knowledge and you get the practice you need, which books and articles cant give you.

You should also consider what kind of hypnotist do you want to be. Are you interested in hypnotherapy and helping people quite smoking or lose weight? Or, are you more interested in doing stage shows and getting paid for having fun on stage. These are just some basic questions you should ask when learning how to become a hypnotist.

While stage hypnosis is fun and hypnotherapy is satisfying, hypnosis isn’t for everybody. It takes hard work, discipline, and requires juggling many skills at once.

So you want to learn stage hypnosis. Maybe you are just starting out or maybe you are a seasoned veteran looking to sharpen your skills. What ever your reason might be for wanting to learn hypnosis, you know that you have plenty of choices to choose from. There is no shortage of hypnotists looking to train you.

It seems today that the most common way to learn stage hypnosis is by the home study course. Hypnotists usually give a live training seminar and then they record it. Then they take the recording and turn it into a home study DVD program. This is not the best way to learn stage hypnosis.

Home study courses can teach you what to do and why you should to it a particular way. However if you really want to learn stage hypnosis, you need a live seminar. A live seminar gives you not only the knowledge you need, but also the practice you need.

However don’t get fooled by the experts who will give you a certificate for completing their learn stage hypnosis course. Unfortunately, there are no “Standards Established” in the hypnosis industry. Hypnotherapy certificates are NOT recognized by any local, state, or federal authority; so when finding looking at hypnosis courses don’t put a lot of stock in certificates.

Another great way to learn stage hypnosis is for someone to teach you one-on one. Whether you’re studying hypnotherapy or stage hypnosis, there is nothing more valuable than finding a mentor. Finding a qualified mentor to teach you about hypnosis is not easy. However once you find one, it can really help to hone your hypnosis skills.

Finding A Hypnotherapist

If you’ve made the decision that hypnotherapy can help you overcome your problem, you’ll need to start finding a hypnotherapist. However finding a hypnotherapist can be a tough task. How does one go about finding a hypnotherapist and which hypnotherapist is right for you? There are many tips to finding a hypnotherapist that is right for you.

However one big tip is knowing which hypnotherapist to stay away from. When finding a hypnotherapist, you should stay away from those hypnotherapists that try to impress you with their certifications. Hypnotherapists pay dues to hypnosis organizations that give them hypnosis certificates. Unfortunately these unlicensed hypnosis organizations are all just diploma mills that fool people into thinking that a hypnotherapist is qualified.

When finding a hypnotherapist, the ones that try to impress you with their certifications are trying to make you believe that they have, “a certain level of training.” By letting clients know of the certification, clients tend to believe that the hypnotist is governed by some local, state, or federal authority (like a doctor)!

Unfortunately, there are no “Standards Established” in the hypnosis industry. Hypnotherapy certificates are NOT recognized by any local, state, or federal authority; so when finding a hypnotherapist don’t put a lot of stock in certificates. In fact , anyone can get a Hypnotherapy certificate by paying for a two day class.

Another tip to finding a hypnotherapist is to stay away from those that say only 20% of the population is actually hypnotizable. In reality everyone is hypnotizable, because everyone is suggestible, because if you weren’t suggestible you couldn’t learn anything! The facts are 50% of the population are naturals at going into hypnosis, and the other 50% just take longer to achieve the state (usually because of fear).

The reason that hypnotherapists believe that only 20% of the population is hypnotizable is because they are using long boring scripts to try to hypnotize you. They get you to visualize calm a serene settings like a beach or a meadow. Unfortunately not everyone can easily visualize a beach or a meadow. Some people have trouble seeing a beach in their head. This is why hypnotherapists believe that only a portion of the population is hypnotizable. When finding a hypnotherapist, avoid those that use long boring scripts with images of beaches and meadows.

Finding a hypnotherapist is not easy. Many people go to a hypnotherapist only to find that it the hypnosis didn’t work. Hypnosis works if you can find someone who is good at what they do. If you find a hypnotherapist that hides behind his/her certificates and reads a long boring script to get you into hypnosis, you are just wasting your money.
